Complex Characters is a course that encourages students to challenge morally binary characters when writing fiction. Characters are as complex on the page as they are off the page, and we will explore this tension through theory, discussion and an original rubric that tests the complexity of your characters.

This single session intensive provides students with necessary tools to more fully understand character archetypes, and embolden students to write characters who are essential to successful speculative works.
