Cohort 1: Modern Memoir

In this course we will draw from various creative nonfiction selections to examine structure, character and genre methods in nonfiction writing, while focusing on useful tools to stay out of your head while beginning to put pen to paper.

Additionally, we will explore how fiction tools like magical realism are changing the shape of memoir and autobiographical storytelling.

* Enrollment includes a brief one-on-one session about a work in progress.
